I've been hanging out with the tall pines in my backyard since I've lived in my current home ,but more so during the pandemic. It's about 20 degrees cooler in the microclimate provided by the trees back there. Imagine what more trees could do applied to a larger scope...

"THE INELEGANT WEBS WE WEAVE"

There's a young Magnolia Tree on the street I walk every day. When the sidewalks were being put in, many trees were flagged to be removed or trimmed. This one had flagging tape in different neon colors on many branches. An Elegant spiderweb appeared in between the taped branches. I kept hoping that this one was marked to be kept and not to be cut. Luckily it's still standing, but I feel that fear about many trees in my neighborhood. I worry which ones will get to stay and which will meet their demise. We create Inelegant webs with our flagging tape, our development can't compete with nature's Beauty.
